Planning an outdoor event? One of the most important (and tricky!) parts is figuring out what size tent you’ll need to keep your guests comfortable and your layout functional. Whether you're hosting a graduation party, baby shower, wedding, or corporate event, PEAKS makes it easy with a variety of tent sizes and layout ideas to guide your decision.

Start with Your Guest Count
The first factor is how many people you plan to seat. Here's a quick reference:
5 ft Round Tables (seat 8 comfortably)
6ft Round Banquet Tables (seat 10 comfortably)
6 ft Rectangle Banquet Tables (seat 6)

You'll also want to factor in space for extras like a buffet, bar, dance floor, or DJ station.
Here are some common event layouts and the PEAKS tent sizes that fit them best:

1. Simple Seating for 32 Guests

Tent Size: 20x20

Layout:

5 round tables (8 guests each)

Room for chairs and walkways

2. Graduation Party with Buffet + Gift Table

Tent Size: 20x30

Layout:

4 round tables for guests (32 seats)

2 rectangular buffet tables

1 gift or dessert table

3. Baby Shower with Games + Gifts

Tent Size: 20x40

Layout:

6 round tables (48 guests)

Space for a buffet, gifts, and game area

4. Wedding or Formal Party with Dance Floor

Pro Tip: Allow for about 12 square feet per seated guest if you're using round tables, and 10 square feet per guest for rectangular tables.
